Black Twitter has been the driving force for a lot of the internet’s biggest and most hilarious moments. The creatives have delivered numerous major trends that continue to dominate the social media space.
December 21st, 2020 formerly known as the winter solstice, was another one of those moments where Black Twitter took the twitterverse by storm. It all started with a tweet by Twitter user @lottidot who chimed in on a discussion about the origins of COVID-19, and a sinister ulterior motive by the government to alter the genetic code of human beings; specifically African Americans.
Her logic lies in far-out conspiracy theory rhetoric, but this sole tweet spawned one of the best memeing trends the social world has ever seen.
