Could 100 men, with only the hands God gave them, defeat 1 Gorilla in an all out bout to the death? That is the current question of the century.
This hypothetical scenario is believed to have originated in the depths of TikTok/Twitter years ago but has recently resurfaced, sparking debates across social platforms and podcasts alike. But let’s look at some facts.
The average Gorilla comes in at a weight of 178kgs (392.5 pounds) and a height 1.7m (5 foot 7 inches). While the average male in North America is 1.75m tall (5 foot 9 inches) and weighs 90.7kgs (200lbs).
It would appear relatively easy for 100 men to take on the gorilla, however, the gorilla’s strength is nothing to scoff at. Their body proportions and limbs are far larger than the average male’s and their feats are numerous.
They can bench press 4,000 pounds, lift and throw objects weighing 1,800 pounds and have a grip strength of 1,650 psi which is about 10 times stronger than that of the average man.
